What is Mountaineer Deals?
A membership that gets App State students exclusive deals at 40+ local Boone businesses. Pay once, use it as much as you want all year.
How does it actually work?
Sign up, open the app at any partner spot, tap the business to pull up your live membership screen, and show it to the worker. They apply the deal. That's it.
Is this legit, or is it a scam?
It's real. We're two App State students who personally signed agreements with all 40+ local businesses. When you redeem, the business sees your live verification screen and timestamp, so they know it's real and honor the deal.
Do I need a physical card or paper coupons?
No. It's 100% digital and lives on your phone. No printing, no codes, no scanning.
How much will I actually save?
Even a light user saves around $25 a month. Medium to heavy users save $68 a month or more. The membership pays for itself in about 4 uses.
What if I don't go out that much?
Check your card transactions, most students spend more in Boone than they think. You're going to spend it either way, so you may as well save on it. Light users still clear $25 a month.
Can I cancel?
Yes. The $1 plan is month to month, cancel anytime. The yearly options are one-time and cover you for a full year (or four years for the freshman plan).

Do I need a student ID?
A few deals are student-only and may ask for a valid student ID. Most don't. Each deal lists its own details.
